Chalobah Poised to Replace Guehi in Three Lions Squad
Trevoh Chalobah followed his brother Nathaniel in representing England, emerging as the 21st pair of brothers to earn caps for the national team.
The Chelsea defender is set to link up with the England squad to fill in for unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is set to link up with the national side for England's last World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, although it has still not been made public.
The England team have already booked their place for next summer's World Cup.
Chalobah earned his maiden call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then played his first game against Senegal.
In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unlucky to be omitted from the team for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally didn't call him up for the following October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an important influence in Chalobah's development, having handed him his Chelsea first-team bow in 2021.
Chalobah has played in almost every games for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the side in third place in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the European competition.
Guehi suffered a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League victory over AZ Alkmaar recently.
There are likely to be other additions to the squad. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) are set to pull out from the England setup.
